Alderney delays Full Tilt’s hearing
Date: 29072011 | Categories: News | Tags:
The Alderney Gambling Control Commission (AGCC) announced that a substantive hearing concerning the recall of Full Tilt Poker’s gambling license has been put off in order to give Full Tilt time to continue advanced commercial talks which could turn out beneficial for interests of players. Therefore, the main hearing on Full Tilt’s case will begin on or before the 15th of September. The representatives of Full Tilt and the AGCC met in London on Tuesday in order to talk over the decision of AGCC to suspend Full Tilt’s license on the 29th of June. After the suspension all operations of the online poker room were stopped immediately. The US Department of Justice indicted the founders and seized the domains of Full Tilt, PokerStars and Absolute Poker on the 15th of April. Then the Department agreed to return Full Tilt its domain to make it possible to pay out American players’ money. Full Tilt stopped accepting US players and continued to provide real-money gaming services outside the States until its gaming license was suspended. But unlike PokerStars, the company has yet to repay any American players. |
